E&N Rail Trail Humpback Connector first two phases complete

Posted in: , , ,

Great to see so many community partners out to celebrate the completion of Phases 1 and 2 of the E&N Rail Trail Humpback Connector. It is an important multi-use pathway that connects communities and neighbourhoods. The route greatly enhances safety by providing an active transportation route that is separate from vehicle traffic.

Our government is pleased to be a funding partner to help build this pathway. Bike BC Cycling Infrastructure Program funded $2.7 million along with an additional $1 million for Phase 3. The B.C. Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing provided $275,000 under the LocalMotion program.

Thanks also to the federal government, Western Economic Diversification Canada, Capital Regional District, and all municipal partners for their participation and leadership on this fabulous project.
